Time is runnning out

- Just a few more days to sign up: a tour of European festivals, from Switzerland to the Netherlands, via Yugoslavia

Hopeful candidates still have a few days to apply. Applications to participate in the various European film festivals must be received by the following dates:
Applications must be received by: il June 28th for the Locarno Festival (August 1st-11th 2002 in Switzerland); June 30th, 2002 for the 15th edition of the Helsinki Festival, which specializes in films about «love and anarchy», to be held from September 19th and last ten days; the Polish Warsaw Film Festival, an important event for the Eastern European cinema, which will open on October 3, 2002; and finally, the Venice International Cinema Show (August 29th until September 7th, 2002), under the direction of Moritz De Hadeln.
July 1, 2002 is the last date for five European festivals: Germany´s Hamburg FilmFest for «youth» cinema from September 23-29, 2002, and the two British events: the Leeds International Film Festival and the International Festival of Fantastic Films. The latter specializes in science fiction, horror and fantasy films and is set to open on August 30 in Manchester. Finally, the Festival International des Pays-Bas will focus on the cinematographic production of the Netherlands starting on September 25th, and the Yugoslav Cheap Film Festival will present low-budget productions from August 8th to 12th, 2002.
