There’s been a huge crowd rushing to see the Dutch film Pipo & the P-P-Pearl Knight. According to its distributor, Independent Films Nederland , the children’s comedy has registered an audience of 27,000 over the first weekend on release. It’s directed by Martin Lagestee and Pipo & the P-P-Pearl Knight is the story of a group of inhabitants in a village and their attempts to get rid of a ghost hidden in the castle that keeps them awake all night long. They decide to call in Pipo the Clown to help them out. The film’s stars include Joep Dorren, Mariska Van Kolck, Daan Schuurmans, Rudi Falkenhagen and Karin Bloemen. The film was released in Dutch cinemas on November 19 in a combination of 120 prints, with 25 copies released in Belgium.
