Setting sights on America
After a good showing in Belgium and at a series of international festival, the film Children of Love will be screened in New York from December 24. This first feature length film by the Flemish director Geoffrey Enthoven is distributed by Film Forum, and it will be shown 5 times a day at the Film Forum Theatre in the Big Apple, for a run of at least two weeks.
Children of Love had it’s world premiere at the 2001 Gand Festival, where it won the public prize, before going on to win an award in Milan in 2002 and a Special mention from the jury at the Mannheim-Heidelberg Festival in 2002. The film is produced by Mariano Vanhoof (Fobic Films) and shows a sensitive portrayal of a weekend in the life of a family torn apart by divorce. The main roles are played by Nathalie Stas, Olivier Ythier, Jean-Louis Leclercq, Winnifred Vigilante, Michael Philpott, Fauve De Loof and Cathy Devreker. At the end of January 2004, a DVD, which includes the CD of the film soundtrack by Das Pop, will be distributed in Belgium by Boomerang.
