€2.6m for 34 productions

After the approval given by the Audiovisual Minister, Daniel Ducarme, the Film Selection Commission of the French Community in Belgium has granted funding totalling €2,689,315 for 34 projects.

Six feature length films will share €1.69m for production support: Plus Personne by Stefan Liberski (Artémis Productions), Petites élucubrations héroïques by Martine Doyen (La Parti Production), Sale Affaire by Yolande Moreau & Gilles Porte ( Stromboli Pictures), Le Prince de ce monde by Manu Gomez (Monkey Productions), Comme tout le monde by Pierre-Paul Renders (Entre Chien et Loup) and Twelve Seasons by Thierry Knauff (Les Films du Sablier).
Funding has also been agreed to support the writing for the feature length films Le bras célibataire ou Gore Roger by Roland Lambé (Shining Project), Le voyage en Barbarie by Olivier Malderghem and Au dernier Vivant by Fabrice du Welz.

On the TV production front, the TV films La nuit est-elle plus noire là-bas by Nicolas Klotz (Tarantula), Le regard des autres by Marie Mandy (Luna Blue Film) and Nature contre Nature by Lucas Belvaux (Entre Chien et Loup) share €300,000. A total of €357,500 has been awarded to 11 documentaries: Correspondances by Caroline D'Hondt (Cobra Films), Casablanca by Sébastien Verkindere (Agit Prod.), Yiddish Soul by N.Rosetti & T. Finocchiaro (Les Films de la Mémoire), Nos cœurs sont vos tombes by Roger Beeckmans (Image Création), Aguaviva by José-Luis Penafuerte (Les Films de la Passerelle), Dans la maison cachée du monde by Yves Dorme (Image Création), Les virtuosi de nulle part by Zlatina Rousseva (Good & Bad News), La vie quotidienne d'un lecteur by Luc Jabon (Dérives), Salonique, ville juive disparue by Maurice Amaraggi (Nemo Films), Noir Espoir by Dimitri Biot (Lux Fugit Film) and A bout portant by Claude François (P.B.C. Pictures).
The animation film Verrückt by Daniel Daniel (La Parti Production), has been given funding worth €20,000. And finally 10 short films have been awarded production support totalling €289,000.
