De Hadeln until March
by Cineuropa
The Venice Biennale board of management, which is due to be replaced, has given Moritz de Hadeln the role of a consultant for three months "to guarantee continuity of activity, given that the law on the reorganisation (of the institution) has come into force", namely the legislation put forward by the Culture Minister, Giuliano Urbani.
After two years in the position of director for the Venice Film Festival, de Hadeln now becomes a consultant: "I accepted because the worst thing to do would be to leave the Festival without anyone".
The possible candidates to take over from de Hadeln include the actor Giancarlo Giannini and the producer, Marco Muller.
