- Robert Guédiguian's set to seduce European audiences with his Marie-Jo and her two lovers
Marie-jo e i suoi due amori, described as Robert Guédiguian´s «most beautiful film», is scheduled to open in France today. First presented at the last Cannes Film Festival, the film stars Ariane Ascaride as the moving Marie-Jo, a woman who cannot decide between her husband (Jean-Pierre Darroussin) and her lover (Gérard Meylan).
Everything points to this film becoming one of the season's major hits after it won favourable reviews and plenty of column inches in the French press and was acclaimed by the critics. It is also expected to do well in Italy, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland.
