Further changes were made within the SPI : Sébastien de Fonséca (Château-Rouge Productions) was elected president of the short film section, Michel David (Zeugma Films) will head the television committee, and Guy Neyrac (Neyrac Films) will direct the ‘Companies’ one. The SPI gathers nearly 350 audiovisual and film production companies ‘independant from all broadcasters’. It is represented within the CNC, the PROCIREP, and the AFDAS, and it is a member of the BLOC, the CLIC, and different assemblies : the Audiovisual assembly, Eurocinema, the CEPI, and the Survey Committee which aims at preserving the French ‘cultural exception’.
