L'estate di mio fratello, Pietro Reggiani’s first film, has just received a special distinction at the Tribeca Film Festival. This film, which also got a prize at the Bergamo Film Meeting, depicts the childhood of little Sergio in Verona in the 1970’s.
This year, the famous New-York event elected Stolen Life, by the Chinese director Li Shaohong, Best Film. In the documentary section, the big winner was El Perro Negro: Stories from the Spanish Civil War (Netherlands/Hungary), by Peter Forgacs. The public’s favourite was Street Fight by the American director Marshall Curry.
