Nimbus Film’s new production Cecile by Hans Fabian Wullenwebers has just been awarded DKK 6.7m from the Danish Film Institute's 60/40 production support scheme.
The film is scripted by Nikolaj Arcel and Rasmus Heisterberg, the duo behind Arcel’s top Danish grosser in 2004, King’s Game. Arcel had also written Wullenwebers’ first feature film Catch That Girl an international children’s festival hit in 2002.

Cecile starring Sonja Richter, Anders W. Berthelsen and Lars Mikkelsen, is the story of a woman who moves with her husband to the countryside after a long illness. Cecile starts a new job as a teacher at a local school, but very quickly, strange things happen both at her house and at the school. She has visions of events that happened 30 years earlier and someone is trying to make contact with her.
Produced by Stine Spang-Hansen for Nimbus Film, Cecile will start shooting next October and will premiere in Denmark in 2006.
