Monica Bellucci from Blier to Grangé

by

Monica Bellucci is in Cannes this year for the promotion of Combien tu m’aimes by Bertrand Blier (in post-production) and Concile de Pierre by Guillaume Nicloux (in pre-production). The Italian actress thus confirms the fact that she is one of the biggest European star on which big productions can rely to make them appealing.

The sales of Blier’s new film are handled by Wild Bunch, while UGC is fully in charge of Concile de Pierre —as a producer, seller, and national distributor. Nicloux’s film, adapted from a novel by Jean-Christophe Grangé (who is also the author of Les rivières pourpres) is co-produced by TF1, while Canal + bought the rights. This film also received money from the French and German fund, and is supported by Integral Films(Germany) and Rai Cinema (Italy). This €20M production will start shooting on the 20th of September : after three weeks in Mongolia, it will move to Paris for 11 weeks.
