A great satisfaction for European cinema
Besides the several palms won by European filmmakers, including the Golden Palm, the parallel sections and the other contests organised by other committees during the Festival (including the Directors’ Fortnight) have acknowledged the quality of European productions. Thus, the Europa Cinémas Label went to La moustache, directed by the French Emmanuel Carrère, produced by Les Films des Tournelles, and sold by Pathé International. This year, the art house film exhibitors of the AFCAE and the CICAE distinguished the British documentary Sisters in Law by Kim Longinotto-Florence Ayisi, a Vixen Films production.
