Metrodome buys Manderlay

Metrodome Distribution has bought Lars von Trier’s Cannes competition film Manderlay [+see also:

, another major acquisition for the UK distributor that comes on top of an already rich catalogue of Scandinavian feature films.
Indeed Metrodome is probably the most active collector of Scandinavian films today in the UK. The company has released all Lukas Moodysson films in the UK and just released a special DVD collector on May 16 with Moodysson’s four films: Show me Love, Together, Lilya 4 Ever and A Hole In My Heart.
Nicolas Winding Refn’s Bleeder and Pusher are also on the company’s DVD catalogue, and other recent Scandinavian acquisitions include Anders Thomas Jensen’s The Green Butchers [+see also:

and Björn Runge’s Daybreak.
Annette K Olesen’s 10th Dogma film , In Your Hands [+see also:
trailer
film profile
]
is still playing in UK cinemas since April 29, and forthcoming Scandinavian releases include Mikael Håfström’s Swedish nomination for Best foreign film in 2004 Evil opening on June 24, and Thomas Vinterberg’s Dear Wendy opening on August 5, 2005.
