Sonet starts Walk The Talk

by

Walk the Talk, the first US project co-produced by Sweden’s leading distributor and producer of quality Swedish films Sonet Film , has just started filming in Los Angeles. The film is part of Sonet’s new strategy to make English language films for the international marketplace, as announced by Cineuropa last February.

The drama-comedy about a family ready to implode is written and directed by newcomer Matthew Allen. Born in San Francisco, Allen studied at the Neighbood Playhouse in New York and then travelled and worked in San Francisco and London. He has been living in Sweden for the past 14 years, and joined Sonet in 2001 as a creative consultant, screenwriter and director.
Sonet Film is co-producing the project with New York based Sound Pictures who produced The Assassination of Richard Nixon. Sweden’s top regional film fund Film i Väst has also taken an equity share in the project and in return, the whole post-production will take place in Western Sweden’s Trollhättan’s studios.
