Silver Dolphin for Dorka Gryllus

by

At the Festroia Film Festival in Setúbal, Portugal, Hungarian Shooting Star Dorka Gryllus was awarded a Silver Dolphin as Best Actress for her performance in Dallas Among Us by Róbert Pejó.

In cooperation with the festival, European Film Promotion presented a group of eight (out of the 21) European Shooting Stars 2005 to the audiences, guests and press representatives.
The festival screened 26 films in which 22 Shooting Stars of this and former years were featured. Six of the films screening in competition starred Shooting Stars chosen this year by EFP's member organisations.

The Shooting Stars were presented collectively to the public at the opening ceremony of the festival. Other activities included a press conference and an international seminar focusing on perspectives and problems facing the talented young actors when they work outside their home countries.

Since 1998, when EFP first introduced Shooting Stars during the Berlin International Film Festival, the programme has steadily gained recognition throughout Europe. Following up on this success, EFP launched the Touring Shooting Stars Film Programme in 2002. Supported by the MEDIA Programme of the EU, the tour employs a concept and promotional platform similar to that in Berlin: the actors and their films are presented to the press and the local audiences with the aim of increasing the awareness of European films and talent.
