Francesca Joseph starts second film

Four Last Songs, the second feature film of Francesca Joseph following the acclaimed Tomorrow La Scala!, shown at Un Certain Regard in Cannes 2002, has started filming yesterday in Mallorca.
The director has lined-up an impressive ensemble cast for this new comic drama, including Stanley Tucci (Big Night), Rhys Ifans (Notting Hill), Virgile Bramly (Manderlay [+see also:

), Marisa Paredes (All About My Mother), Emmanuelle Seigner (Bitter Moon), Maria Esteve (Dias de Fùtbol), Hugh Bonneville (Iris), and Jena Malone (Donnie Darko).

Written by Joseph, Four Last Songs is the story of a chronically unfulfilled American residing in an isolated hilltop village on an idyllic Mediterranean island. He plays piano in local bars, until one day, desperate to make his mark on the community, he sets out to stage a gala concert as a tribute to one of the many composers who lived in the village. But his grand plans are challenged by the active interference of each and every inhabitant of the village.

Four Last Songs is a the film is a Home Movies/Mate co-production with BBC Films supported by Ingenious Film Partners. International sales are handled by Capitol Films.
