(Szép napok) which won notably the silver Leopard in 2002 at Locarno. The film will be released today in the UK theatres and on the 28th in French cinemas.

Screened for the first time on the 1st of February during the annual Hungarian Film Week, Pleasant Days came out in 2003 in the Czech republic, in 2004 in Austria, Greece and Belgium, and the17th of March in the Netherlands. A drawn-out course on the old Continent for this film, interpreted notably by Orsolya Tóth (Johanna) for whomPleasant Days won the best actress award at the Festival Premiers Plans at Angers in 2004. Co-written by the trio Kornél Mundruczó - Sándor Zsótér - Viktória Petrányi, the film was produced for Laurinfilm by Zsófia Kende, Kornél Sipos and once more by Viktória Petrányi, the filmmaker's faithful partner (read interview). In charge of international sales, the French company Coproduction Office headed by Philippe Bober also continues to bet on Kornél Mundruczó's original talent since they also handle sales for his new work Johanna.
