Tanovic in Toronto

, by Danis Tanovic will not travel to the Venice Film Festival, as initially expected. However, it was announced as one of the eight world-premieres presented at the Toronto Film Festival (8-17 September). Tanovic, who won an Oscar in 2001 for No Man's Land, will present his latest work, selection for the section entitled "Special Presentation".

This feature, interpreted by Emmanuelle Béart, Karin Viard and Marie Gillain, is the story of three sisters whose childhood was suffused with violence. The script was inspired by Heaven, Hell, Purgatory, the trilogy the Polish director Krzysztof Kieslowski was writing with Krzysztof Piesiewicz when he died suddenly.

L'Enfer, is a majority French co-production between A.S.A.P, Cedomir Kolar's company, and Sintra (Italy), directed by Rosanna Seregni, in association with Rai Cinema, Marion Hansel for the Belgian company Man's Film and Yuji Sadai for the Japanese company Bitters End. The project was supported by Eurimages.
The French release is set for the 30th of November 2005 (Diaphana). The Italian distributor is 01.
