02/07/2002 - Lars Von Trier is scheduled to make a docu-feature, co-produced by Channel 4, about the endless party known as Ibiza

Lars Von Trier, a founder-member of Dogma 95 is in talks with co-producers, Channel 4, for a documentary feature to be made on the Spanish island of Ibiza from July 25-August 14.
The Danish director is looking to cast committed and unselfconscious night clubbers to play themselves. They must be prepared to accept the intrusion of Von Trier´s cameras into every aspect of their Ibizan sojourn whilst remaining totally spontaneous and managing to act as though their every move were not being recorded for posterity. The producers were eager to underline that this film was never intended as a mere description of the Bacchanalia of the typical Ibizan night but rather a «real-life-documentary-movie» that examines the ways in which a generation of dedicated party-goers is pushing out the envelope of acceptable social behaviour.
