Producers Forum at Namur

The 20th Namur International French-language Film Festival , which runs from the 23rd to the 30th September recently announced the list of the ten participants for the 2nd Forum for French language production (for which Cineuropa launched an appeal for projects).

Organized over two days by Film Liaison Office, in collaboration with the Belgian French Community, the CNC, SODEC and OFCS, supported by Unifrance, Procirep and Focal, the forum allows producers to test and consolidate their projects in the company of several professionals, and to look for financial sources or partners.

Invited to propose their projects are: from France Sébastien Hussenot of Luna Productions with Les Passagers du Vent by Jean-Luc Pérreard, Monique Perez producer (Avia Films) with her first feature Rouge le henné ! and Michael Krumpe of Histoires Weba with the latest project from Zeka La plaine of the Ivory Coast Le Lac sacré, a co-production with the Ivory Coast. Another co-production : Viva Rija! by Djo Munga, bringing together Belgium and the Congo, represented by Boris Van Gils and Michael Goldberg of M.G Productions. From Switzerland Xavier Ruiz of Navarro Films presents A.V.S (Arnaques, Varices et Spaghetti) by Elena Haraznov while Belgians Gilles Morin and Stéphane Lhoest of Créations du dragon are working on the film by Frédéric Dumont Un Ange à la mer.

The remaining projects come from Vietnam (La lune dans le fond du puits by Nguyen Vinh Son), from Burkina Faso (Malencontreuse aventure by Aléxis Yaméogo), from Lebanon(Un homme d'honneur by Jean-Claude Codsi) and from Morocco (Un mariage à tout prix by Latif Lahlou).
