Madrid and Ile-de-France: objective co-production

Yesterday afternoon, at the San Sebastian festival, the Ile-de-France Film Commission and the Madrid Film Commission organised a co-production meeting. This initiative is part of a ongoing agreement signed at the beginning of the year between the two organisations, presided over respectively by Corinne Rufet and Enrique Cerezo, and headed by Olivier-René Veillon (IDF) and Manuel Soria (Madrid), and was an opportunity to present thirty film projects. This event also gave an opportunity to certain producers to pursue discussions begun at the "European Meetings " set up at the Cannes Festival by the d’Ile-de-France Film Commission in collaboration with its counterparts from the region-capitals at (Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg, Lazio Film Commission, Madrid Film Commission), all of them members of the newly formed European association, C.R.C (Capital Regions for Cinema).

Among the many professionals, producers and distributors present yesterday at San Sebastian were notably French representatives from The Coproduction Office, Memento Films, Backup films, Colifilms Distribution, Cine Classic, Kien Productions, CTV International, Vision Group, Cine-Sud Promotion, Sophie Dulac Productions, Tu Vas Voir, Cine-Sud Promotion, Heliotrope Films and Plaza Production. Spanish participation came in the form of two companies Alma Ata Pictures S.L., DeA Planeta S.L., KanZaman, Markab Creativos, Iroko Films, No hay penas, El Rayo Films, Salto de Eje, S.L. and Viriato Films S.L..
