After Gabriele Muccino, Paolo Sorrentino and Daniele Vicari, Domenico Procacci continues his search for new talent for Fandango. His latest find is Fausto Paravidino and his debut film, Texas.
"Luciano Ligabue spoke to me about Fausto Paravidino – he had read his plays – as did Guido Chiesa and Giuseppe Piccioni. I saw him in the theatre and was very impressed. He had an incredible energy, and I saw in him the possibility to move towards film. Piccioni encouraged him to write for the screen."

"The screenplay for Texas is ideally similar to the stories about provincial life that I love: Il grande Blek, which I made 20 years ago with Piccioni, Ligabue’s Radiofreccia and Fughe da fermo by Edoardo Nesi.
The film had a limited budget, only 2m euro, even though it was not simple to shoot. It was produced and financed by Medusa, which is also distributing the film."
