03/07/2002 - Approaching deadlines for submissions to forthcoming late summer and autumn festivals

10 July is the deadline for submissions to Montreal's World Film Festival, (28 September-14 October) a non-competitive event that includes a section Views from the Avant-Garde specialised in experimental films and includes a tribute to Francis Ford Coppola.
You have until 12 July if you wish to take part in the Cork Film Festival (6-13 October 2002) and until 15 July for London's indie film showcase, the Raindance (23 Oct-1 Nov), the 7th Athens International event. The featured artist is Germany's Tom Tykwer and last but by no means least, the 28th Telluride Film Festival, scheduled for 30 August - 2 September.
