American Film Market attendance record

8,014 participants during the last days of the Market. The 26th edition of the American Film Market (November 2-9) has enjoyed an overall 13% increase in respect to 2004, which recorded 7,064 attendees. An absolute record for the California event, according to AFM General Director Jonathan Wolf.

There were 1,583 buyers present in Santa Monica, from 62 countries, as compared to 1,459 last year. The countries that registered the greatest attendance increase in respect to 2004 include Belgium (+29%), Hong Kong (+27%) and Brazil (+24%), while Italy increased 10%. This record also includes the number of exhibitors, with 419 companies from 33 countries, for a total of 3,822 operators; a 6% growth over 2004. There were 1,526 industry professionals, i.e., +34% as compared to last year.
