Presented in the section "Work and social themes" at the film and video Festival Filmmaker Doc 10, which ran in Milan between the 22 and 29 November, Melodias (Les films de la dernière heure) won the 2nd international jury prize. This documentary from Swiss filmmaker François Bovy had its première in Nyon at the Festival Visions du Réel, where it won two prizes, and was invited to other festivals such as Toronto and São Paulo, to the international documentary encounters in Montréal as well as the Shadow Film Festiva in Amsterdam. Shot in Colombia, the film follows a taxi-driver, a hired killer and a policeman in the streets of Medellin. Melodias was also nominated for the European Cinema Prize, which will be awarded on the 3rd of December.
