A Little Trip… to Sundance

by

Baltasar Kormákur’s A Little Trip To Heaven is among the 17 films selected at the prestigious Premiere Section of the 2006 Sundance Film Festival (19-29 January).
The Icelandic/US film co-produced by Kormákur’s Blue Eyes Productions and L.A.-based Icelandic producer Joni Sighvatsson’s Palomar Pictures, is the first English-language film by the talented director of 101 Reykjavik (2000) and The Sea (2003). The film which already premiered at the last Toronto Film Festival stars Forest Whitaker, Julia Stiles, Jeremy Renner and Peter Coyote. It’s the story of a husband and wife tangle with an investigator over her dead brother’s million dollar insurance policy.
Sold internationally by Katapult Films, A Little Trip To Heaven was released last September in Poland by Swiat and it will open in 2006 in Scandinavia trough Sandrew Metronome, in the Netherlands (March 16) through A-Film and in Switzerland through Monopole Pathé.
