, started Monday at Bon Marché in the heart of the chic districts of the French capital. To head the bill, the film director chose two of the most popular actors in French cinema, Romain Duris ( The Beat That My Heart Skipped [+see also:

Acting alongside Duris and Garrel are Joana Preiss, Guy Marchand and Marie-France Pisier who succeed in creating a film which according to the director "brings together the spirit of the books of Salinger and that of the New Wave". It follows the sentimental affairs of two brothers on Christmas. Commended in 2002 for his first feature film Seventeen Times Cecile Cassard (with Béatrice Dalle and Romain Duris) but also for his screenplay for Novo by Jean-Pierre Limosin, Christophe Honoré's second film Ma Mère [+see also:

(played by Isabelle Huppert and Louis Garrel) was met with a harsh controverse in 2004. His producer Paolo Branco openly complained about the film's failure to be selected at Cannes. The film also received starkly polarised criticism at its release.

The film produced and sold internationally by Gémini Films is coming out in autumn 2006. At 35, Christopher Honoré brings forth a taste of youth and a very "trendy" Parisian lifestyle that is marvellously interpreted by two Parisian-born actors, Romain Duris (31) and Louis Garrel (22). In the role of Duris' companion is an underground figure interpreted by the contemporary singer Joana Preiss, who has already made an appearance on the big screen in Ma mère and Clean [+see also:

by Olivier Assayas. This summer Preiss shared the stage with Louis Garrel at the Avignon theatre festival in Dionysos Impuissant (Powerless Dionysus), an adaptation of Euripides' Bacchantes signed by Christophe Honoré. Their reunion in Dans Paris in front of and behind the camera will last for four or five weeks.
