by Oskar Roehler, which won awards for its performances. The company, headed by Andrea Occhipinti, also acquired the new film by Luc Jacquet (March of the Penguins ), entitled The Fox & the Child, as well as the rights to Marilyn Manson’s Phantasmagoria: The Visions Of Lewis Carroll from international sales company Wild Bunch.

Eagle Pictures has bought Adrift, directed by Hans Horn, from Summit Entertainment.

From Fortissimo Film Sales, Nexo acquired Italian rights to Australian film Candy, directed by Neil Armfield and starring Heath Ledger.

Mikado closed the acquisition deal on the new film by South Korean filmmaker Kim Ki-duk, currently in production, the working title of which is Time. Mikado also announced that it acquired the rights to The Science of Sleep by Michel Gondry (which screened at the Sundance Film Festival) and to have entered into a co-production agreement on the film.

Teodora Film film has acquired Quinceanera by Richard Glatzer and Wash Westmoreland from Celluloid Dreams. The film, which screened in Berlin’s Kinderfilmfest/14plus section, was the Jury Prize and Audience Award winner at Sundance this year.

Lady Film acquired Spanish/Argentinean comedy Elsa and Fred, directed by Marcos Carnevale, from Sogepac.
