by

Eight features destined for the big screen appear on the list of the 14 projects selected for the first of four sessions by the Region Ile-de-France Fund, which has set aside €3.25m of its annual €14m in funding.

One well-known beneficiary is Régis Wargnier, with Have Mercy on Us All , an adaptation of a Fred Vargas crime novel, produced by LGM Cinéma (see news) and starring José Garcia, Olivier Gourmet, Marie Gillain, Michel Serrault and Lucas Belvaux. Claude Miller’s Un secret, produced by UGC YM (see news), and Jacques Rivette’s Ne touchez pas à la hâche (lit."Don’t Touch the Axe"), a Pierre Grise production (see news), are also among the chosen projects.
