A collaboration in five acts

by

20th Century Fox-Germany and Claussen & Woebke Filmproduktion have signed a contract to work together on five films in three years, and more, if both parties are willing.

The first project on which they will collaborate is the screen adaptation of Otfried Preußler’s bestseller Krabat. Fox has also acquired rights for the student comedy 13 Semester by Frieder Wittich (Opus, 2002), Stellungswechsel by actress/scriptwriter/director Maggie Peren and Maria, ihm schmeckt's nicht!, a comedy by Michael Gutmann co-written with Jan Weiler.

Separate from this agreement, Fox-Germany will distribute Welcome to America, a Claussen+Wöbke co-production (with Centropolis and VIP). This film, produced by Roland Emmerich and Rosilyn Heller and directed by Marco Kreuzpaintner, will be shot in Mexico and in the US. Post-production will take place in Munich.
