New staff members at the IFB

The Irish Film Board has just announced the appointment of Mark Byrne as Business and Legal Executive and Niamh O’Reilly as Executive Assistant to current CEO Simon Perry.

Byrne worked as an entertainment lawyer for the past three years and also acted as co-producer on Brian Kirk’s Middletown, starring Matthew MacFadyen, which will be released in Irish cinemas later this year. In his new position at the IFB, Byrne will be responsible for the agency’s contracting requirements and as such, will negotiate with producers, co-financiers, lawyers and government officials.

O’Reilly has been working in the entertainment and events management business for a number of years. She will now manage the diary and administration requirements of CEO Simon Perry, as well as monitor and manage the flow of information within the various units of the agency.
