Made in Italy on the Croisette
The Cinecittà Holding Group will be present at the 59th edition of the Cannes Film Festival in two venues supporting and promoting Italian cinema.
The promotional activities organised by the Holding and its associated companies (Istituto Luce and Filmitalia) are run with the support of the Italian Ministry of Culture’s Film Board. They will be concentrated in a large area in the Hilton Hotel Cannes, aptly named ItaliaCannes 2006. The 10,000 square foot space has a number of functions: firstly, it will house the Cinecittà Holding Group and the Italian Film Board’s operational offices, as well as the newsroom of Cinecittànews, which will provide daily information and reports from the Festival.
ItaliaCannes 06 also includes a space for meetings and conferences, a large terrace facing the Croisette and a bar/restaurant with Italian specialties.
In addition, Cinecittà Holding, ANICA and Filmitalia will have a stand for market operators at the Film Market in the Palais Riviera. This is also where the offices of the most important companies in the Italian audiovisual export market will be located, including RAI Trade, Intramovies, Filmexport Group, Minerva Pictures, Variety Communications and Surf Film.
