Estonian Film Foundation gets new head of International Relations
by Annika Pham
The Estonian delegation in Cannes, based at the Baltic stand (Riviera, stand H8), will include a newcomer: Lili Pilt, recently appointed head of International Relations at the Estonian Film Foundation (EFF), who will be replacing Karlo Funk, the current head of Production and Development.
Pilt was born in Estonia but spent many years in the US, where she studied photography and French language and literature at the University of Virginia (UVA). She later worked at the Virginia Film Festival in Charlottesville, Virginia and as Programme Director for the UVA Art Museum’s Summer Art Academy.
At the Estonian Film Foundation, she will work closely with the EFF Director Marge Liiske, who was appointed last February. Before joining the EFF, Liiske had been managing the MEDIA Desk in Estonia since 2002.
