Paulus and Hillebrand back at San Sebastian

Awarded a Special Mention from the jury at the 2003 San Sebastian International Film Festival for When the Right One Comes Along, Oliver Paulus and Stefan Hillebrand will be presenting the première of their second feature at the festival’s 54th edition, taking place from September 21-30.

In the running for the Altadis New Director’s Award, So Long, My Heart (Motorfilm, Zurich) features Pola Kinski (the eldest daughter of Klaus Kinski), Tom Jahn and Isolde Fischer as the employees of a retirement home that serves as a backdrop in this tragicomedy about waiting.

Scripted by Fredi M. Murer and starring Bruno Ganz, a member of the international jury at San Sebastian, the film has been sold to over 15 countries and opens in France early next year. It will also be screened at the new Rome Film Festival (October 13-26) and most probably represent Switzerland at the European Film Awards in December.
