European Producers Club meet in Rome

by

As a sideline to the first RomeFilmFest (October 13-21), the European Producers Club, run by Jean Cazès, is holding a meeting this Sunday, October 15 from 10:30-13:00 at the Hôtel Russie, in the heart of Rome’s historic centre.

The event – also open to professionals who are not members of the Club – features a series of talks entitled Tour of Europe, which will examine various production and co-production opportunities in Europe.

Martin Moszkowicz (Constantin Film Produktion) will talk about a new sales and lease back in Germany and Yves Marmion (UGC) will look at the real possibilities offered by French tax credits for co-productions, while Chris Curling (Zephyr Films) will examine current co-production possibilities with the UK.

Meanwhile, Marco Chimenz (Cattleya) will discuss how to know if it is possible to produce with only 50% public funding. His analysis will be followed by Holland’s Hans de Weers (Egmond Film and Television), who will sift through the possibilities of tax shelters.

After the talks, Club members are invited to attend a networking lunch where current and future co-production projects will be discussed.
