Eight documentaries for the Prix ARTE

Eight titles produced in the UK, Germany, Netherlands, Spain, France, Austria, Russia and Israel have been chosen to compete for the European Film Academy Documentary 2006 - Prix ARTE.
The jury, composed of Bulgarian director-producer Adela Peeva, German filmmaker Thomas Riedelsheiner and Polish producer Dorota Roszkowska, will choose from one of the following titles:
37 Uses For A Dead Sheep by Ben Hopkins (UK)
Into Great Silence by Philip Gröning (Germany)
Dreaming By Numbers by Anna Bucchetti (The Netherlands)
Grandmother's House by Adan Aliaga (Spain)
Maradona, Tho Golden Kid by Jean-Christophe Rosé (France)
The Fisherman and the Dancing Girl by Valeriy Solomin
(Russia)
Our Daily Bread by Nikolaus Geyrhalter (Austria)
The Cemetery Club by Tali Shemesh (Israel)
The winner will receive the prize during the European FIlm Awards ceremony in Warsaw on December 2.
