by Lionel Baier (Saga Production) is in competition at the 55th Mannheim-Heidelberg International Film Festival (November 16-25).

Belhorizon by the Belgian director Inès Rabadan, co-produced by the Swiss outfit PCT cinéma et télévision, is also in the running for the Jury Grand Prize.

Five other Swiss features are lined up: So Long, My Heart by Oliver Paulus and Stefan Hillebrand (co-produced by Germany) in the International Discoveries section, Rascals on the Road by Michael Steiner (Kontraproduktion, C-Films), Villa Henriette by Peter Payer (Maximage) in the children’s film programme, E nachtlang Füürland (1981) by Clemens Klopfenstein and the Three Colours trilogy by Krzysztof Kieslowski, a co-production by Swiss outfit CAB Productions.

The festival is also holding the Mannheim Meetings, aimed at emerging filmmakers looking for co-producers. Swiss director Romed Wyder, behind Pas de café, pas de télé, pas de sexe (1999) and Absolut (2004), will present his latest film, Dawn.
