In 2006, the PACA region provided €2.38m in support to the film and audiovisual sector and €1.64m in direct investment.

The remaining funds (€740,000) came from the CNC as part of a state-region agreement based on the "€1 from the CNC for each €2 from the region" model.

Having provided €361,000 for film creation through funding to writing and development, in 2006 the PACA region also supported shorts production (€87,333) and audiovisual programmes (€458,667) and 13 projects were allocated a total sum of €1.1m.

In addition to Priceless and Family Hero, the region has also provided financial support to several films currently in post-production: Philippe Faucon’s Dans la vie (lit. "In Life"), produced by Istiqlal Films, see article); L’été indien (lit. "Indian Summer") by Alain Raoust (Sunday Morning Productions); Je déteste les enfants des autres (lit. "I Hate Other People’s Children") by Anne Fassio (Delante Films); Parc [+see also:

by Arnaud des Pallières (see news, a Les Films d'Ici production); and Le fils de l’épicier (lit. “The Grocer’s Son”) by Eric Guirado (TS Productions).

Other films backed in 2006 include Stéphanie Duvivier’s debut feature La peau lisse, a Mat Films production (with €152,000 in funding of a total €2.1m budget), L’empreinte by François Lunel (Promenade Films), Le tribunal des marchands by Bernard Boespflug (Les Films du Tambour de Soie), Jour après jour by Jean–Paul Fargier (Ex Nihilo) and La passion selon Mehdi by Bernard George (Cinétévé).
