by

In its latest round of production support, the Danish Film Institute has awarded DKK 20,4m (€2,7m) to three new films including DKK6.9m (€928,000) to Søren Kragh-Jacobsen’s tenth feature film.

The new film by the director of Mifune and Skagerrak will be a political thriller starring Anders W. Berthelsen, Ghita Nørby and Maria Bonnevie. The story co-written by Kragh-Jacobsen with Rasmus Heisterberg is based on Søren Lassen’s 2001 novel, ‘En Anden Tid’. A young woman is found drowned on a winter night. The dead woman's brother, Thomas, discovers that her death is connected to their father -now deceased- and his work in military intelligence. Lars Bredo Rahbek is producing for Nimbus Film in co-production with Hepp Film in Sweden. Other financiers include TV2 Denmark, SVT and Nordic Film & TV Fund. Principal photography will start next February. World sales are handled by Trust Film Sales.
