The new project of the 39 year-old director from Milan will be shot in Calabria, in the same places of his previous The Gift (2002), a highly sophisticated debut with a great sense of mise-en-scene, which won awards at numerous festivals (Locarno, Rotterdam, Thessaloniki, Annecy, Belfort, Tiburon and Buenos Aires, among others).

"The Four Times is halfway between documentary and fiction, divided into four interconnecting parts that make up one story," the director told Cineuropa.

Produced by Invisibile Film and Caravan Pass, the film will be shot over eight weeks next October, with a provisional budget of €580,000. "We are looking for financing,” said Frammartino, "and Cannes is certainly an invaluable occasion for proposing the project".
