Trust Film Sales has a very exciting new title to work with at Cannes: Swedish auteur Lukas Moodysson’s first English language film, Mammoth, set-up as a Swedish/German/Danish co-production.

One of Sweden’s most popular exports, Moodysson will start shooting next October in New York, Thailand, the Philippines and Sweden. Mammoth revolves around successful New York couple Tom and Ellen, their eight year-old daughter Jackie and their Filipino nanny Gloria. On a business trip to Thailand Tom realizes that he wants to change his life. His decision sets in motion a highly intense and dramatic chain of events.

For the director’s long-time production partner Lars Jönsson of Memfis Film, “the script has Moodysson´s trademark qualities of being both dramatic and humorous".

No cast is attached to the film yet, but the DoP will be Marcel Zyskind, who worked on two films in Official Selection at Cannes this year: Michael Winterbottom´s A Mighty Heart [+see also:
