Ole Bornedal’s family thriller The Substitute [+see also:

film profile] has been selected as one of the five films to have a special presentation in the Sprocket Family Zone Programme at the upcoming Toronto International Film Festival (September 6-15).
Introduced to world buyers at the last Cannes Film Festival, the film produced by Michael Obel (Thura Film) was snapped by eight territories, including France (Zylo).
At home it is still holding well at the box office, in fourth place in the top 10 (148,232 admissions) after Hollywood titles Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix [+see also:

film profile], Die Hard 4 and Transformers.
Starring popular actors Ulrich Thomsen and Paprika Steen, the film tells the story of a school substitute from another planet who makes life hell for the children in her sixth grade class.
SF is handling domestic distribution in Denmark and Nordisk Film International Sales world distribution.
