2 new films for Film Council

- Film Council will invest more than 1 million € for two new productions

About 300,000 euro will be invested in The Proposition, which is directed by John Hillcoat, who directed To Have and To Hold and Ghosts of the Civil Dead. The film is produced by Chiara Menage, producer of Love is the Devil and Cat Villiers and co-producer of the Oscar Award winning No Man's Land and Saving Grace. The film is set in a remote area of Australia and tells the story of a law enforcer who becomes entangled with three brothers, all notorious criminals, who end up in a conflict between themselves.
The film Kiss It is a comedy written and directed by Eric Christiansen and produced by Sol Papadopoulos. The rights were already purchased by the Film Council Development Fund in October of 2000 and the film will be granted financial support to the tune of 750,000 euro.
