Nine films vie for Nordic Council Film Prize

The Nordic Council announced today the nominees for the Nordic Council Film Prize 2007. The jury, consisting of members from each of the Nordic countries, has selected nine feature films this year (two from each country with the exception of Finland, which chose only one title).

The winner of the DKK 350,000 cash prize – to be shared between the scriptwriter, director and producer – will be announced on October 9 and the prize will be awarded on October 31 during the Nordic Council’s annual session.

Last year’s winner was the Swedish film Zozo [+see also:

by Josef Fares, produced by Anna Anthony (Memfis Film). Six of the Nordic Council Film Prize nominees are also short-listed for the European Film Awards 2007.
