L’autre moitié honoured at Amiens
The 27th edition of the Amiens International Film Festival closed on November 18 with Abel Jafri and Kader Boukhanef (who starred in Mehdi Charef’s 1985 film Tea in the Harem) receiving the Best Actor prize for their performances in L’autre moitié (“The Other Half”) by Swiss director Rolando Colla.
The Swiss/Belgian co-production (Peacock Film/Saga Film) tells the story of two brothers who are raised separately, one in Algeria and the other in France, and reunited in the Jura.
Unveiled at the Montreal World Film Festival in August, the film will be released on Swiss screens in 2008.
