has garnered 204,885 admissions and it is likely to continue its escalade until the end of year without strong local commercial rivals, despite the upcoming releases of Miguel Gonçalves Mendes' Floripes (December 20) and António-Pedro Vasconcelos's Call Girl.

Released on November 1 by BWorld, Corrupção became the first film in Portuguese cinematic history to not credit its director, João Botelho, who did not agree with producer Alexandre Valente (Utopia Films) on the film's final cut (see news).

With €903,002 grossed so far, Corrupção is not only on top of the local film charts but is also in sixth place in the general ranking, which is generally dominated by US titles.
