Herbig brings Vicky the Viking to big screen

film profile]) is preparing a screen adaptation of the adventures of the cartoon character Vicky the Viking.
Vicky the Viking went on to become the hero of a cult animated series that began more than 30 years ago and was broadcast not only in Germany and Austria but also in France, Italy, Spain, the UK and Netherlands, among other countries.
Wickie und die starken Männer will be produced by Christian Becker (Der Wixxer [+see also:

film profile], Hui Buh) for Rat Pack Filmproduktion, an offshoot of Constantin Film AG, and co-produced by Constantin Film and herbX Film.
Constantin will distribute the film in Germany in 2009.
