Three French films will be among the 21 titles vying for the Golden Bear at the 58th Berlinale (February 7-17).

(see news) will be joined by writer Philippe Claudel’s debut feature: Il y a longtemps que je t'aime (see news).

Starring Kristin Scott Thomas, Elsa Zylberstein (also appearing in the Panorama section at Berlin in La fabrique des sentiments, see news), Serge Hazanavicius and Laurent Grevill, Il y a longtemps que je t'aime was produced by UGC YM.

Co-produced by German company Integral Film at 20% and backed by Eurimages with €200,000, the film will be released in France on March 19 by UGC, who are also handling international sales.

The Berlinale will close with Be Kind Rewind, a US production directed by France’s Michel Gondry.
