Water Lilies scoops up main prize at Tromsö

The 18th Tromsö International Film Festival ended last Sunday with Celine Sciamma’s Water Lilies [+see also:

picking up the main Aurora award.

The NOK100,000 cash prize will go towards P&A costs for the film’s Norwegian release. The opening film, Nils Gaup’s The Kautokeino Rebellion [+see also:

, was hailed by local critics and received the FICC jury’s Don Quixote Prize.

scooped another Fipresci award, the Norwegian Peace Film Award went to the Chinese digital film Little Moth by Peng Tao and the Tromsø Palm for Best Documentary to Finland’s Summer Child by Iris Olsson.
