European films in Panorama

The selection for the Panorama section at the forthcoming Berlin International Film Festival has been announced and includes 50 films: 17 features in the main line-up (which will open with the Russian film The Mermaid by Anna Melikyan); 15 in Panorama Special (which will open with the European co-production Lemon Tree by Eran Riklis); and 18 titles in Panorama Dokumente (set to open with another European co-production, A Jihad For Love).

The titles include 31 European (co-)productions, including 12 documentaries and 19 features. Germany and the UK are particularly well-represented.
