, French international sales company Roissy Films (in the process of being bought out by EuropaCorp, see news) are set to unveil a promising line-up at the 58th Berlinale film market.

In the official selection, the team headed by Raphael Berdugo are hoping for success with Amos Gitaï’s Later, starring Jeanne Moreau, Hippolyte Girardot, Emmanuelle Devos and Dominique Blanc. Produced by French company Agav Films, the film centres on the protagonist’s investigation into his Jewish mother’s mysterious past during the Second World War.

Roissy will also present a promotional reel of François Rotger’s Story of Jen [+see also:

, starring Marina Hands (Lady Chatterley [+see also:

). The film retraces the misfortunes of a woman who lives alone with her 16 year-old daughter.

A man - who reminds the daughter of her late father - enters their lives, seduces the young girl and then disappears. There follows a desperate search to track him down.

Produced by Les Films à Un Dollar, with an advance on receipts from the National Centre for Cinematography (CNC), the film will wrap up in May and be distributed domestically by Ad Vitam.

Sales will get underway for Agnès Varda’s documentary project Les plages d’Agnès (“Agnès’ Beaches”) and for Italian/French co-production The Sicilian Girl by Marco Amenta.

Produced by Eurofilms and R&C Produzioni, with backing from Rai Cinema and French companies Studio 37 and Canal+, The Sicilian Girl stars Gérard Jugnot and Veronica D’Agostino (Respiro [+see also:

).

The film tells the tragic story of Rita Atria, a 17 year-old girl who broke the mafia law of silence by confiding in judge Paolo Borsellino, in order to avenge the murders of her father and brother, both members of Cosa Nostra.

The feature is lensed by Luca Bigazzi and will be released in May.
